Above photo shows an art deco Chinese rug handmade circa 1930, now 90 years later the white knots appear in form of white cotton dots on the face of the rug.
White knots are cotton foundation threads tied to each other. The most economical way of dealing with this type of problem is to dye the knots with permanent fabric dye.
It took our master dyer to dye the knots on this rug 14 hours.
